Wagner Moura
Wagner Moura (b. 1979) is from Salvador, Brazil. Moura has a degree in journalism but chose to pursue an acting career. He starred in José Padilha’s film Tropa de elite which won the Golden Bear at the 2008 Berlinale and was nominated for a Golden Globe for his performance as Pablo Escobar in the Netflix series Narcos. Marighella is his directorial debut and premiered at Berlinale International Film festival.
